    Swapped out the trigger and that was the problem. Broke down some of that guys loads and they were 4 gr over max. Looks like a good reason for blown primer. Thanks again.

    Took bolt apart and found no debri. Will check firing pin again. Problem is probably in plain sight, just never had this happen before.

    My shooting partner tried a new powder today and got a blown primer. The rifle will not fire, just a light click from the bolt. Rifle is a Surgeon built 300WM with a Jewell trigger. Did all i knew to do except take trigger apart. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

    anyone have GOOD match grade AR varmint barrels in stock?

    I have Comp Lake, Lilja, WOA, BCM, Ranier and Larue among others. Frank at Comp Lake is GTG, WOA is top tier, Larue STEALTH is just solid. Ranier Ultra for the money is my choice because i love Shilen barrels. Ask me how i know, because i shoot Ranier Ultra and Grendel in Shilen. Hope this...

    If you like the HS stock and intend on keeping it, send it to badger and have them do the inlet. Real quick turnaround, usually in a week. Their website has order and shipping form. I have had 3 rifles converted and and am well satisfied.

    Loading 72.5gr/H1000, Berger 230gr hybrid (2825fps). Question is does speed seem about right or is chrony off? Tried 73.0gr and primers started to flatten a bit.

    I took two 40 ft containers, anchored to ground, bonus room trusses on top. Iit is finished with a 40 ft bunkhouse with bath on top.

    Seekins vs Badger Detachable mag for M700

    If you choose Badger they will amaze you on how fast they can inlet your HS stock. Most turnarounds for me is around 8 days. I use Seekins and Badger items and both are top tier.

    Creedmoor build advice

    Greg at Bugholes has sent a lot of 6.5 Creedmoors my way. The combo we use is Stiller, Brux, Jewell and HS stocks, all have been lazers. He has sent some with McMillan stocks that are excellent also.

    I am on my 4th Creedmoor and had both 22 and 24in barrels. I agree with Rob01 about the 24in.

    Roddd has it right. The simple way to go is with 6.5CM. From 100yd to 1000yd with factory ammo is simple and fun to shoot.

    Help me pick my new project: shorty 308 or 6.5 Grendel upper?

    I shoot both and they are really great at 500-600yd for steel. Both are minimal for game at distance (300yd) in my opinion. Grendel is fun if you plan on stretching it way out.

    Check out Bugholes for a barreled action. He has built several barreled actions for me and they all shoot good. The last one was a 300WM and really love that rifle.
