    Re: Subsonic handloads for 300 Blackout I use 9.0 grains of lil-gun under the sierra 240's. Shoot it in a remmy 700 with a 18 inch Shilen select barrel. 9.0 is right on the sonic/subsonic range.

    Re: Reloading bench surface Years ago, I had a buddy that had a couple of old bowling ally lanes in his work shop. I cut them up and make a 6 foot and 4 foot long benches. Made out of cross cut hard Maple. Hard as a rock and EXTREMLY heavy benches.

    Re: 300 win build Stiller makes a good action also. I have both a Surgeon and a Stiller, I going to try a Bighorn action next. Any of them are a great starting point. Kreiger, Rock Creek, Bartlein and or Obermeyer are in my opinion, much better barrels.

    Re: 591R inlet? My Mac A-5 milled for remmy 700, I put a Surgeon 591 in it. Only thing I had to do was mill the left side of the stock were the bolt release is. The Surgeon action has a bolt release that sticks out on the left side. You stock should work fine on the Remmy.
