Does es and sd really matter?

Carl Zant in his article on the precision rifle blog explains this very thoroughly and it seems that to a point there are diminishing returns getting the sd below 10. My current sd is at 6 and I figured that on a target my deviation in bullet drop is only .5 inch and at 1000 yds my average...

Do I need a bubble level?

I shoot a monthly match and could not figure why I was always right of most of the shooters. I asked a question here and through tremendous help of the members many good suggestions were offered including cant and the use of a bubble. I am not terribly dense and have done Frank's online videos...

    Bullet library

May be confused but when I used JBM library for the Berger 140 hybrid the length of bullet was wrong when I measured it against my own 140 Hybrids. Don't know if I am confused or if that was a fluke but it seemed wrong on my measurement.

Advanced Marksmanship Why am I right?

I did a tall target test and the scope is tracking and not canted. I however seem to cant more than I expected so I will need to buy a scope level and practice with it till I get that part of my shooting down. I will get someone who knows what they are doing to watch me shoot to check my...

Advanced Marksmanship Why am I right?

I watched Brian Litz's video and I am going to perform his test tomorrow and I think I will have a lot answered after that. That was a wonderful video with very scientific approach. I will put a level on my scope and recheck plumb and measure at distance with a level target. Thanks again. I...

Advanced Marksmanship Why am I right?

Great advice. This is what I was wanting to test. I used proper Wheeler levels to set everything up over a year ago but wondered if it was all plumb. I have several things to test at the range. Amazing help from everyone

Advanced Marksmanship Why am I right?

Wouldn't cant be more likely if it was a greater hold such as 1 or 2 mils and not just .3 or .4 mil and at longer distances? Also it is so consistent that I thought it would be trigger or positional or left handed thing

Advanced Marksmanship Why am I right?

I always seem to be.4 mil right compared to other shooters during matches. I double checked my zero on successive days and spot on. I am left handed shooting an AI 6.5 creed and from 500yds on to 1000 I am at least. 4 mil rt of everyone else on the line. The best explanation so far seems to...

Large firing pin vs small firing pin

I hope this is not a dumb or redundant question but changing to Lapua brass in 6.5 creedmoor and wanted to make sure I have an AI AT with a small firing pin. I shot factory Berger this weekend without difficulty. The serial number on the bolt is 21,xxx. I looked at Mile High website and could...
