    Sounds like a good project. I don't think the Savage action is going to give you the accuracy, you are going to need.     ELR with my B14R

    3 of us were shooting, 2 were spotting for one shooter. We can see dirt misses on the berm most of the time, but sometimes you not see anything. We could hear hits on the plate and see it move. It is stainless steel 1/8" I have some 3/16" 400 AR gongs that ring very well.

    I have rimfire steel setup at a local range. I have 4", 3",2" and 1" gongs at 100yds and 150yds. The range where I hold my Long Range 22LR match (RRRC) has about anything.     CZ 457, Tikka T1X or Bergara BA.

    I have all 3. I have 2 Bergara B14R my main match guns. I replaced the triggers with Triggertech Diamonds. T1X( just a trigger spring change) is for factory class gun. CZ is for hunting. The B14R's will take you a little ways down the rabbit hole. B14R are the best of the 3 IMO. All 3 are good...

    Sorry I don't have a 22 Mag, but I have 2 B14R in 22lr. It have the same footprint as the 700 Rem. and will take any 700 triggers. It takes 700 SA scope mounts and 2 piece mounts.

    I did do it in a under ground gopher hole. I call BS on that. I did say under great wind conditions. I have won many 200yds steel matches with guys shooting Vudoo's in the match. I would post pics, But you will call BS on that also.

    I have a Kidd Supergrade in a Titan stock, with Titan's rear anchor. It is a 1/2moa gun out to 200 yds in good wind conditions. I would say a Kidd Supergrade would out shoot your 10-22, but is it worth $1500+ to get 0.1" or 0.2" better in groups. Same thing goes for Vudoo's vs CZ. is it worth 3...
