    What is the proper way to use Kestrel? I.E: which direction do I point it in order to get a wind read? Do I need to guesstimate the direction of the wind and point it there or just point it 90 degrees off the direction of the barrel?

    If the scope is MOA/MOA then it wouldn't be much different from Mil/Mil - since you measure and dial in one system. It's just that when you go to Mil/Mil the linear values would change.

    Replacing 1-6 would help in terms of getting comfortable with your reticle/turrets. If long range shooting is your long term goal, then it makes sense to get the 4-27. Alternatively, why not keep 1-6 and buy 4-27?

    The new fin does NOT work with 5-25 as it requires the aluminum magnification ring. MK Machine, while ugly, got the job done - although I haven't tried it on S&B. I also purchased switchview's aluminum throw lever. However, I returned because I couldn't figure out how to get it on a 3-20 US...

    LMT .308 MWS

    5.56 sized buffer tubes can be used, but require an aftermarket buffer. I went with Slashe's Heavy Buffers. My rifle has been reliable with it.
