Rifle Scopes When Will Rifle Optics Catch Up With iTech?

A few things. I don't think anyone is getting "angry", don't flatter yourself. There is already a scope in the works that performs advanced functions, it auto fires the rifle once the reticle is on the correct point. Again, firearms are not cars, they are not computers, they are not iphones...

Rifle Scopes When Will Rifle Optics Catch Up With iTech?

Watches and cell phones do not and are not in the same category as firearms. You need to stop applying solutions from other sectors incorrectly. Every single aspect of shooting a weapon revolves around 1 single thing, the person pulling the trigger. Taking that brain power, self thought, out of...

Rifle Scopes JP 6.5 Grendel Target Rifle--Would a 6.5-20 x50 Scope Be Overscoping??

I've shot my 14.5" Grendel to 1200 yards with a 3-18 optic, around 13 or 14 is the highest used so have room to spare. That 4-16x42 should work fine, from a specs stand point.

Eye Protection in Long range shooting? Noob Question #2

I have worked in machine shops, fab shops and heavy industry for the past 19 years. I have seen a lot of people hurt to extents that hinder their quality of life. I have been blessed with a safety culture that has saved my life and the health and well being of my co workers around me, it...

    Tripod Shooting- Saddles vs Clamps

You do not have to clamp the HOG saddle, can function like rest. When clamped and using a quality ball head, tracking targets or changing targets is not a problem at all for me.

    Rifle Scopes Leup MK6 3-18x44 beyond 1000y?

I have routinely shot to 1600 yards with my 18" 6.5x47L using a MK6, I don't dial above 16x on the optic so had room to spare. No issues at all, but consider that I do not shoot paper. I would go with the TMR reticle if you are going to be primarily (paper) target shooting.

Rifle Scopes Bushnell 3.5-21 G2DMR vs. Leupold Mk 6 3-18

Buy the HDMR or DMR, spend the difference (from the Mk6 price) on a few classes and be way ahead in the long run. The Mk6 has locking turret, it boggles my mind why people sweet over it moving some. How the hell did people manage with non locking turrets that move even more?

Rifle Scopes Calling all mark 6 owners

None of my 4 do that, they move aprox .05 mil only while locked.

    Where's the Skid Plates

Different use of equipment in severity perhaps, but I am absolutely confident in the Velcro retention on its own. I have just over 3 years of using an original SOTECH skid on an A4 shooting off of rocks, fences, posts, trees and other objects in the southern Arizona desert. The rifle has seen...

    6.5s at 1140 yards

I enjoyed living in Nevada, some truly excellent long range shooting locations, I left before my shooting interests evolved though. Thanks for posting the photo.

    Pants for hot, humid climates

I have been working in the southern Congo for the past year or so, Wrangler pants have proven to work quite nicely in the hot humid environment, I have 8 or 10 pairs of these Wrangler RIGGS WORKWEAR by Wrangler Ripstop Ranger Pant Men Jeans

    Rifle Scopes Vortex 3x magnifier

I have the newer version, for under $200 it's a great item. The transition from the ring type mounts to the proprietary base makes sense and Vortex did good with theirs. The ergonomics are great when rolling the magnifier on or off and the optic clarity is more than acceptable. My only negative...

Rifle Scopes USO SR8 1-8 Reddot; worth it?

I have an SR8, MK8, MK6 and the USO is by far the best of the best. Eye relief and eye box are excellent, size/weight/profile is excellent, covered turrets for an SPR type optic is excellent, image resolution is very good, illumination and control are very good, reticle is very usable at all...

Rifle Scopes How much does magnification matter for ELR?

3.5-10x40 MK4 only has 65 moa internal travel, some LRT and ERT models have more(slightly, 70 MOA). I have a non Leupold 5-25 optic on my 338, it rarely sees use above 20 power. The mirage on a 110 degree Az day this time of year makes for some serious issues at high magnification. With a 40...

    Rifle Scopes Best zero stop?

The MK6 zero stop does require an allen wrench for a single set screw, very easy to set however, it is a solid design. The ability to set the zero stop below the zero mark on the turret works great for me, POI difference between suppressed and not. Steel targets at 200,300,400,500 meters. MK6...

TAB shooting mat and gear sling

I have a TAB mat I use for general shooting and hunting here in Az. I have broken a few plastic buckles on gear, usually stepping on them. The metal rings are the way to go in that regard, I used some 3m tape to keep them from contacting each other and ringing like tuning forks. The TAB I have...
