    I have a McGowen from about 6 or 7 years ago that is beautiful inside and shoots amazing. The borescope makes it look as good or better than other high end barrels I have.

    In my opinion it appears to me that a smaller raidus tool was used to cut the flutes on your bolt than the other one pictured. The larger radius makes the cuts extend further by the size difference towards the locking lugs. Either way, it looks great.

    As mentioned, keep watching Hogdon's website. It's hit and miss and changes pretty regularly. Keep in mind, they charge tax, shipping, and hazmat, so you want to buy enough to make it worth it.

    I'm no expert, but I don't see anything worth noting. What you're seeing is likely copper or carbon build up. I bet you have ammo that isn't properly tailored to the gun.

    I think the point they were trying to make over there is when the bedding material shrinks (however much that may/may not be) you will be left with 2 pressure points (the pillars making contact). *I'm not saying either method is right or wrong*

    Exactly. Utica for most things on a firearm and a 1/4 torque wrench for the upper torque ranges. My torque wrench is a Cornwell, but any quality wrench will do.
