Alamo Four Star aka ZRO Delta

I have a Mk6 1-6 in an alamo four star mount, no issues with return to zero that I've seen. Granted, im not doing benchrest type shooting with it, but do shoot steel out to 600 yards. Machining seems fine to me also.

.22 LR ammo is back to normal

I got lucky and found .22lr in two different stores in the same day recently. CCI minimags $8 per 100, and Mag Tech standard velocity $4 per 50. (Not amazing, but not super inflated..) First time I've found .22 on the shelf in months. I'd say it's still far from returning to normal.

Rifle Scopes Quick Detach Rings Recommendations

If you really want to stick with LaRue, they do make seperate QD rings as well as their standard one piece mounts.. I guess not having a torque wrench kind of puts standard type rings off the table. (Not sure if you have one or not) I know I'm the only one out of all my shooting buddies that has...

Reloading .308 with a Lee classic loader without a powder scale

I think I'm gonna load 10 or so rounds with the scoop just to see how they do. Looks like I will have a scale soon enough though, a gentleman on here offered his for the price of shipping along with some other items that will be of use to me. Cheers!

Suppressors Surefire 7.62 SOCOM on 556

My socom762rc that just cleared last weekend is going to be used on my 20" .308 bolt action, 14.5" 5.56 AR, and 9" .300blk AR. Didn't sound too bad on the 5.56 to me. Maybe next time I take it out I'll be able to get my buddy to come along who has a legacy can on his 10.3" 5.56 AR so we can compare.

Reloading .308 with a Lee classic loader without a powder scale

Also, does anyone know how you tell you are setting the overall length on the loader without actually loading a round? I was just gonna start longer so if it's wrong, I can just dial it down shorter rather than starting off too short and having to pull bullets...

Reloading .308 with a Lee classic loader without a powder scale

Forgot to mention, I have the hornady reloading manual, and have been reading about reloading for a while, but this would be my first actual attempt. The scale is the next item I plan on buying (I hear I may be better off with a beam scale opposed to a digital). A friend cleaned and chamfered...

Reloading .308 with a Lee classic loader without a powder scale

So, like many people these days, I'm new to reloading. The first thing I acquired was a Lee classic loader to hand load for my Remington 700p. I'm using Varget, CCI no.200 large rifle primers and Sierra 168 gr. hpbt bullets. Question is, can I use the 3.1 cc scoop that came with the loader...

Member Link Up Central Va people! Trying to find a Leupold MK 6

I think I've decided on a Leupold MK 6 1-6x for my "do it all" optic for my AR. Problem is, I can't decide between the TMR-D and CMR-W reticles. I will shoot different loads (XM193, M855, MK262 as well as hand loads when I get the press and dies), so I'm leaning towards the TMR-D since it's not...

Sidearms & Scatterguns 1943 Remington Rand M1911A1 US Army

Now that I know it's not the original barrel, I'll probably try and get a correct one. The rifling and rest of the interior of the barrel is not in very good shape anyways, it's got some pitting and the chrome plating is flaking off on some parts. Doesn't shoot too bad though! I've only shot 50...

Sidearms & Scatterguns 1943 Remington Rand M1911A1 US Army

Just took another look at the site, and it appears to be a refinished Colt barrel from serial # range 120,000-400,000. I think that's the only non matching part.

Rifle Scopes QD Mount Recommendation for MK6 1-6 on AR

FWIW, Mile High Shooting had the mount for $80 less than direct from Alamo, if you decide to get one.

Sidearms & Scatterguns 1943 Remington Rand M1911A1 US Army

That's the site I found the majority of the info on this pistol. If you look closely in the first pic you can see the "P" near the center of the barrel hood, and mine does have a grooved slide stop.

Sidearms & Scatterguns 1943 Remington Rand M1911A1 US Army

Thanks for the info! I think mine is also a 1943, but mine has a grooved mainspring housing rather than a checkered. One thing I am not clear on is the barrel. The only markings are on the hood, not near the lug like most seem to be, and I think it may have been chrome plated at some point...

Rifle Scopes QD Mount Recommendation for MK6 1-6 on AR

Alamo Four Star deserves a look too. Lots of surface area grabbing the rail. I just got their 34mm mount for the MK6 1-6x I'm saving for.
