What is the longest known .22LR shots?

Re: What is the longest known .22LR shots? 70 or so MOA out to 400yds. I hand a prarie dog kill at 385yds once after 15 rounds. That was 66 MOA out of my mdl 64.

    What rifle would you recommend?

Re: What rifle would you recommend? I considered a Sako and I bought a used Anshutz mdl64. It works for me. I would opt for a mag fed bolt design next time. Maybe a Stiller is in my future.

Mounting the EGW 20 MOA Base

Re: Mounting the EGW 20 MOA Base If you didn't mount at least 20moa rail you would never get to 300 with any consistancy. 400 yards is even more inconsistant. I wonder how Joe did today?? How did it shoot Joe?

Mounting the EGW 20 MOA Base

Re: Mounting the EGW 20 MOA Base Joe, its 20 MOA anywhere you mount it on the rail. The distance between rings makes the scope mounting alot firmer so to speak. Picture grabbing a pool cue with your hands close together(touching) and someone taking that cue away from you. Leverage. Congrats...

    My New .22LR - 200 Yard Target

Re: My New .22LR - 200 Yard Target Joe, they get excited when your hitting steel at 300yds and always ask if I'm shooting a .17. The Barrets were out on Saturday making a hell of noise as compared to the .22. I felt a little out gunned. But when they see you dialing 4+ turns on the elevation...

    My New .22LR - 200 Yard Target

Re: My New .22LR - 200 Yard Target I'm just now pushing the limits of .22LR and it's just as fun as my .308 with less $ out of my pocket.

    My New .22LR - 200 Yard Target

Re: My New .22LR - 200 Yard Target For 305 yds I'm at 45 MOA shooting all sorts of cheap .22. The Wolf MT shoots extremely well in the Annie at 100yds. At 385-400, a paced distance, I shot a prairie dog after about 15 rds- 63MOA. An extremely lucky shot.

    My New .22LR - 200 Yard Target

Re: My New .22LR - 200 Yard Target MWerksLLC Jeff Madison, Makes mostly Anschutz stuff but I think he could make just about anything. HotRod9mm on this sit also makes rails for alot of rifles. MWERKS can make custom MOA to customer specs. Jeff is a great person to deal with.

    My New .22LR - 200 Yard Target

Re: My New .22LR - 200 Yard Target Joe, I shoot my Anschutz 64 Silhouette with a 25 MOA MWERKS base. I have a MK4 10X on top. I have actually shot out to 400yds with plenty of elevation for that range. IMO I would get a 25-30MOA base for the .22LR and you could even get to 500?? Using the...

Rifle Scopes OK, let's talk about EREK knobs.

Re: OK, let's talk about EREK knobs. My SSDS SN3 was Zeroed with the 20 MOA base. Actually hitting 300 yard target with it being bore sighted only and dialing the 300 yards on the Erek. I needed the 20 MOA base to get to 1000+ with the .308 175SMK @ 2650fps. Great Scopes BTW.
