    Best Gun Safe?

Re: Best Gun Safe? I bought a Liberty and was disappointed. I have a manual lock, not an electronic keypad and it's as sloppy as a government issued 45. Now with a 45, that could be a good thing because, while not terribly accurate, at least it would function. But this safe is not a 45 and...

    Movie Theater Amish Mafia

Re: Amish Mafia We go out to Lancaster county about twice a year. I'm not an expert on their culture but I can tell you that the ones I've encountered will not allow their photos to be taken. They're so adamantly against that sort of thing that even the children's dolls do not have faces...

    My new stick!!!

Re: My new stick!!! I thought so when you mentioned the 139s. But it could have been a 6.5x47 or others. Outstanding caliber choice in my opinion.

Guy snaps and tries to pull over no seatbelt cop

Re: Guy snaps and tries to pull over no seatbelt cop A sincere thanks topgun99 for living the law as well as enforcing it. My other comment is that cops can get into accidents too. Yeah, I know, it's "official business."

Rifle Scopes First shot with the Spuhr Sauer SSG mount

Re: First shot with the Spuhr Sauer SSG mount 0 degrees C is 32 degrees Farenheit. I'm guessing it gets colder than that even in Georgia.

    Controlling the Christmas shopping bully

Re: Controlling the Christmas shopping bully The fact of the matter is a punch to the head CAN BE either fatal or could cause such serious injury that use of a firearm would be justified. And anymore, it probably wouldn't stop with just one punch. I have a friend who's girlfriend's son was...

What sort of box do you use when shipping a rifle?

Re: What sort of box do you use when shipping a rifle? I'm shipping the rifle to Beanland. The only reason I would want to put the rifle in the Plano case is to PROTECT it. The cardboard box is only there to disguise the fact that I'm shipping a rifle.

What sort of box do you use when shipping a rifle?

What do you use for shipping rifles? Do you put the rifle in a gun case and then into a box? I have a basic Plano gun case with the rough dimensions of 53"(L) x 9" (W) x 6" (D). I want to put the Plano case into a cardboard shipping box of similar dimensions and I've looked high and low and...

Rain and effects on ballistics today

Re: Rain and effects on ballistics today When I went to Central Virginia Tactical, Vern said rain has no effect on trajectory due to a bow wave produced by the bullet pushing the drops out of the way.
