    Re: Help me decide my 6.5 One time I had a guy who ran dirt cars tell me that there is no replacement for displacement,the bigger the cubes the more power you can have.Sure you can do the same in a 6 cylinder but at higher RPM and a shorter engine life. So I went with a 260.

    Re: .44 Magnum Hog Hunting 240 keith SWC over 18g SR4759 no reason to push them over 1100 fps just wasting powder on the exit hole. Ive shot plum thru some mighty big ones with a slow hard cast bullet.The JHP wont hardly expand anyways, 45 acp with a 180 cast will go thru one broadside.

    I am getting ready to rebarrel my remington 700 to a 260, but I do not know what reamer I want to use. One gunsmith has a reamer with a .292 neck and .113 throat the other has a reamer and a seperate reamer to do the throat wherever i want it and he can do a .293 neck. I do not know for sure...

    karsten cheek piece

    I am looking at putting a cheek piece on a H.S. Precision M24 stock, I tried the lace on an buckle up ones and did not like them. Is the Karsten the best option or are others available. I want to be sure this is the best before I go to drilling holes in a $450 stock. Thanks

    Re: quickload on a 243 Thanks for the info, I like the pressure was hoping for better velocity but the chrono will tell exactly. I dont think H 1000 is exactly the right powder for this bullet but is burns cooler and fills the case, and gives the best groups.THe % fill is a little confusing...

    I was wondering if someone could run a quickload for me on my 243 reloads, Winchester brass 95 SMK 2.258 to ogive or 2.826 OAL (B.C. 480) 48.8 H1000 Wolf Magnum and WLR primer (loaded seperately not mixed together) They are shot in a REM. 700 sps v 26" with a H.S. M-24 stock, I see no pressure...

    Re: Hornady A-MAX seating question I have seated them just kissing the lands, and to about 10 thou. off. They shot well either way, this is in a rem. 700 sps v in 243.I have not shot them enough to tell about accuracy, but look like they will goup as good as a SMK.

    Re: Hunting with sierra match kings I have killed several hogs with the 6mm 95 SMK with excellent results out to 200 yards, and a buddy has killed alot of deer and one aoudad with a 6.5 140. His uncle is a gunsmith and hunted Africa for years and killed everything up to Eland with a 6.5 140...

    Re: 6mm Sierra 95 grain SMK standard 243 the velocity may not be exact but is a good guess.Also the lengths can vary up to .010 from base to tip or base to ogive, you might get better results by sorting them.
