If that rumor is true, holy smokes are we in for a rocky ride. Sadly, it wouldn't surprise me. Whoever is the whistleblower, they better keep their head on a swivel.

Need advice on a bang-for-buck 300blk out upper

Short answer is I'd build one. It's pretty easy to do if you're fairly handy and have a few tools (or can borrow some). You'll get a lot more value and end up with the upper you really want if you go that route. Plenty of videos and on line resources to help you figure out how to do that...

Building a 300 black out SBR dedicated subsonic gun... twist rate?

    I have a 1:7 twist and it's a great shooter from 110 gr AMAX's to 220 gr SMK's and everything in between.

    300 BO vs. 762x39

LOL...someone should tell the US military that then, since the 300 BLK round is just a cut down 5.56 case. My God, think of all those servicemen who are risking their M4's jamming on them and nobody is telling them!!

    Trigger for new build?

LaRue MBT is about as good as a Geissele and a lot less expensive. I just picked up another one on a $99 sale.

    300 BO vs. 762x39

PROS: If you reload, the 300 BLK has a lot more versatility. With a huge selection of .308 bullets available, you can really customize the round for most practical purposes. It's a very accurate round too...but it has a lot of drop. Know your holdovers and it's no big deal. Delivers plenty...

    Who Are The Fittest Athletes

I've heard that pound for pound, horse jockeys are considered among the strongest and most fit athletes. I guess pulling the reins in on a race horse who wants to go all out would tend to get you strong. My guess would be wrestlers and gymnasts. As a grappler, I've found few things that will...

As long as we are at it-- Military and fitness

Branch as a whole, I think it's pretty uncontested. USMC. Although there is another conversation to be had in regards to fittest unit. And the winner of all that would get a pile of jack squat lol. I remember training exercises with SEALs on our MEU workup where they all could pretty much...

Good luck BlackJack988!! Keep at it, and you'll be forever grateful about the decision to change your lifestyle. Do it for yourself though, not for your best friend's wedding ;) I snack constantly, keeps me from binge eating at regular mealtimes...just snack on things that are better for you...

    Meal Replacement Diets

BlackJack, stick with it and keep the long view in mind. It takes time to change your metabolism and everyone is a little different in regards to how quickly their body reacts to the changes in their lifestyle. Think of it this way...took a long time to pack on...it's going to take some time...

    Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu

Yes, and it is an addiction. Been training just coming up on two years and have competed at a couple of NAGA events in the old man division. Amazing workout that is both fun and mentally challenging. I'm in the best shape of my life (and that includes my time in the infantry). I only wish I...

Hmmmm...yeah I thought it should have been a pretty good load. I'll see if I can get my hands on a chronograph and get a velocity. Thanks for the info.

    Vintage Rifle Reloading Thread

Thoughts on 46.5 grns of Varget with a 178 AMAX in HXP brass and a CCI BR2 primer? My surplus ball shoots better than this load in my m1903A1...is it too light for the 178 AMAX? Sorry, haven't measured velocity...need to get a chrono. I guess I should just do a ladder test and work my way...

High Protein Diet and Ammonia Sweats

For those who may be interested, pretty sure it was a hydration issue. Been drinking constantly, and it's pretty much gone away. Ive learned what I thought was hydration clearly wasn't. I also think the extra H20 has helped in recovery from workouts.

    Military ID

Just a guess, and I've been out of the military for a long time...but if he's an activated reservist...he should still have a reserve ID and combine that with a copy of his orders? Maybe I don't understand...not Regular Army...active reserve or something else?
