Rifle Scopes Athlon 1-6x Cronus BTR Review

Doug over at Cameraland gave me this Athlon Optics Cronus BTR 1-6x24 SFP - ATSR2 SFP IR MOA to review for him. Athlon is the new kid on the block. They seemed to have an optic for every shooters budget. I’m always leery with new companies in regards to quality and standing behind their products...

    DeLane Development Group Rimfire Ventures

I jumped on last week. Left hand 18inch barrel and a Manners Elite stock from Core. I cant wait they said 6 weeks but that sounds too fast. My AMG is coming today and I went with Triggertech. I have a few Anschutz rifles a 54MS and an 1813L . Both lefty but not repeaters. My days of 3 position...

Rifle Scopes New voice for Tract optics is here.

Being a new company with a small budget they tried to keep things simple and only a few models. Down the road Im sure more options will be available. Believe me Id love to see more options but I understand.

Rifle Scopes New voice for Tract optics is here.

Well guys you finally have someone to help field your Tract questions. My name is Brian and I'll be taking over for Trevor. I had a sit down with Jon recently and I decided to help with consulting. To start things off I'm not an optics guru. I'm just a guy who likes to shoot. My daytime job is a...

Rifle Scopes Anyone heard of Tract Optics?

The 22Fire has 3x9 with a parallax set at 50 yards and the 4x12 is set at 75 yards. They have 2 reticles available. I've shot them only out to 50 yards so far but I was amazed that a 9x scope could resolve 22 Long Rifle bullets holes so easily. For the price point its an great topic.

Rifle Scopes Anyone heard of Tract Optics?

I'm extremely pleased with mine. Just waiting on my buddy for the ok to chuck hunt asap. I can't wait to get this rifle out in the field. Even the 22Fire for $179 is an awesome optic.

Rifle Scopes Anyone heard of Tract Optics?

Tract Toric 3-15x42 BDC Review Sorry for not getting this out sooner but we had a few bad weekends of weather and I couldn't get out to shoot. Over the past few weeks I’ve made 3 range trips. The furthest distance was 200 yards for now. My other range is 700 yards but I need all the snow to be...

Rifle Scopes New 223 build sporting Tract Toric Optics

I needed a 223 since my old 223 became a fat tactical rifle that must weight upwards of 15 lbs. I had some parts around like a trigger, stock, recoil lug and bottom metal. I was looking for a slow twist barrel to shoot max of 55 grain bullets. I have tons but they are useless in my fast twist...

My 308 4th paint job lets see how long I keep it!

I bought this stock used on the Hide years ago. It looked like Ray Charles himself painted it. Im pretty gun with a spray gun since I used to paint cars. My problem is I get bored of the paint too fast. When Cerakote came out with Vortex Bronze I bought a can asap. After doing the metal I was...

Rifle Scopes Athlon riflescope review thanks to Doug at Cameraland

Keep in mind guys these are $300-400 optics. For the price that work great. Nobody has turrets like NF. This is a great budget scope and you gotta live with the specs its built to. Im sure their higher end stuff is leaps and bounds ahead of these models.

Rifle Scopes Athlon riflescope review thanks to Doug at Cameraland

’ll be honest I wasn't looking forward to reviewing Athlon optics. I’m an optics snob and all my rifles sport Vortex Razors, AMG, Nightforce NSX, Swarovski and Zeiss. I just believe you get what you pay for. Doug asked me to review two Athlon scopes for him. (Argos 6-24x50, Talos 4-14x44) Last...

Ever notice how you hold the rifle affect your groups?

I was shooting my JP 223 last week dialing my new Razor Gen2 4-27x. Once I was on paper I shot a bunch of groups at 100 and 200 from prone. It seemed very sensitive as far as how I held the rifle. If I went from a firm hold to a loser one. All of my experience is with bolt guns. I got a few...
