    Anyone run a 22x6mm or 224 TTH?

    I have a 22-6mm Ackley Imp that does well with the 80gr Amax. I am still fireforming brass so I expect it to get better yet. I am using 47gr of Viht N165 and Fed 210M primers behind the 80gr Amax for a fireforming load and getting 3320fps. This load gives groups of 1/2" or less, I like it.

    Lightest Varmint bullet for a 1/8 .223 ?

    I run 40gr Vmax in a 223 1-12 at around 4000fps but as stated above you would have to slow them down a ton for a 1-8 or I don't believe they would hold together. 55 or 60 would be a better choice IMO.

    Anyone using Ruger M77 Mark II ?

    I like my Rugers. I have several (223, 22-250, 22 Hornet) and all shoot well. My smith does hate working on them, the triggers on mine are polished and pull at around 2.5lbs. If your looking for a good hunting rifle I would recommend one and you can build on one but not as easily as a Rem or Savage.

    What's your take on Vihtavuori powders?

    I don't shoot high volume, but when I shoot its almost always Viht powder. I find it to be clean burning and almost always able to get what I want out of a given cartridge. I have used N110, N120, N130, N133, N135, N140, N150, N160, N165, N540, and N560. Luv this stuff.

    It's fairly easy to switch pilots just takes a little time. I just got a little lazy and took the easier route.

    I would try backing the load down a bit and if you still have that much cratering have the bolt sleeved.

    I use my Dillon 550b but do not trust the Dillon powder measure dropping that much powder, I use a Chargemaster.

    It took a little bit to get them lined up but I ran an Oehler in front of my Shooting Chrony both showed similar speeds with my Chrony being consistently a few fps slower because it was downrange of the Oehler.     I've had several 223s and most shoot well. You should have no problem finding one that will get you to 300 yards with light or heavy bullets.

    I know you said heavy but the Tikka I loaded for loved the 40gr V max pushed by viht N120.
