    Very close, probably a couple of thousandths clearance. There is enough flex in the handguard that if I put a little pressure on it there is contact with the gas block.

    Free float rail for S&W MP10

    The stock barrel nut came off easy. Just make sure you have a good fitting barrel nut wrench. I did not have to cut the crush washer behind the flash suppressor. In fact, it had enough life left that I could reuse it. See my earlier thread about installing the TRX.

    Hmm, I tried logging on to Powder Valley. The site starts loading then I get re-directed to web.com with a message saying error 404, file or directory not found. Anybody else having that issue?

    Troy TRX 308 owners.

    I just installed the same rail on my M&P 10. Those pinch screws should be moderately tight and still have a gap. Mine is pretty solid but I'm not sure I care for the execution of how Troy did this. Sure wish Daniel Defense made their rail in a low profile version.

    Check the Armalite web site for their AR10 receiver blocks, PN 15901202. That is what I use with good results. They only work with flat top receivers though. My scope mount is the LaRue Tactical LT104. LaRue also has a LEO discount.
