    I had the same idea at first as well. When going that route it's much cheaper to have the G20 first, then get a G21 upper for it. G20 uppers are much fewer than the G21's. I do like the idea of the P220 Hunter in 10mm. I'm not really a fan of Kryptek, but it actually looks really good to me. Dave

    A Rainier set is ~10 bucks more, CMT is ~60 bucks less, MEGA is, what ~100 bucks more. If you're on that tight of a budget look at the Aero sets. Going with that set also means you're stuck using only their uppers, no other DPMS pattern uppers will work with that receiver cut. Dave

    Never owned or used one, with no interest to. If I want to sling rounds willy-nilly downrange, I'll hand my AR to my BIL, lol. This, and it's not like they could have made it any uglier of a stock. Always plenty of used ones for sale on Armslist after the novelty wears off!

    Thanks for the info guys, I saw a lot of Lowlight's posts about IOR's on Scout, so I wasn't counting on it being anything great. I didn't pay any additional money over the value of the gun for the scope to come with it, so I won't be at any loss if I unload it. I definitely will look to swap it...

    Budget .223 bolt rig for youths? (PRS)

    I saw the other day that Howa offers their 1500 Mini in a youth stock. You could swap out the stock for an MDT LSS chassis if you wanted something better than a plastic stock. That is my plan, though I will be going with a 6.5 Grendel.
