Best precision rifle available on a budget

Savages generally will shoot pretty well out of the box. The common complaints seem to be feeding problems and weak ejection.

Rifle Scopes What's the REAL story on SWFA?

The 5-20 already has 10 mil turrets and illumination. No zero stop though. I also really like the illumination on my 5-20. It illuminates a center dot only, and you can turn the brightness down low enough that it does not wash out the image or ruin your night vision. If you actually need to...

    Gunsmithing Blasting barreled action?

I have that exact same sandblaster. I build a makeshift cabinet and use aluminum oxide media. It isn't very fast, but has gotten the job done for me on 3 guns so far. I would use some chemical to strip the krylon, then clean the parts really well with acetone before blasting. You will also want...

Rifle Scopes Bushnell ET 6-24 FFP vs. Vortex viper PST 6-24 FFP

I spent a fair amount of time comparing the Bushnell 6-24x50 and the Vortex PST 6-24x50 side by side. I had an eye resolution chart set up at about 200 yards, and I also spent time behind them looking at various objects, buildings, etc, from 50 yards out to about a mile, in various lighting and...
