This goes for both the SFP and FFP models. Has anybody found a way to create a zero stop for these scopes? I have the 4-12 SFP and am looking into a FFP model, but for the next scope I buy, some form of a zero stop, whether factory or DIY, is an absolute MUST. Any help would be great
I’ve got an 18” 6.5 Grendel AR and I absolutely love it. Great cartridge, shoots flat, great downrange and plenty of power for hunting if you so choose.
Just bought a 20” HB .308 barreled action a couple of weeks ago, really love seeing this thread. Great options out there for stocks/chassis systems. Unfortunately, the college student budget requires lots of saving and patience..
I’ve got the Diamondback tactical 4-12 SFP on my 6.5 Grendel AR and it doesn’t have the zero stop or shims for it, and there’s no DIY zero stop, at least according to Vortex. Was really hoping this would have some form of a zero stop
Watched and read for a little while, decided to join! Actually didn’t see this until after I’ve made some posts and asked some questions, but glad to be a part!
@gedeon , I’m on there as well, I know the 12, 12.5 and 12.7s get a lot of love over there, but recently there were a few threads on the possibility of 13-14.5” group buys and people experimenting with the 14.5”, didn’t know if you saw them!
I’ve got an 18” Barrel on my grendel from AR Performance. Tack driver. I know it’s longer than what you’d like, but you might check their website out. It’s down from time to time, as it’s basically a one or two man show for the most part, but I absolutely love my barrel from them. You might go...
@SLG , I didn’t figure it was, I just wanted that point to be made if that helped with any advice! Driver, I have looked at the PST and the XTR II, but I haven’t seen the SCR reticle.
Just to interject something here, I don’t mind a learning curve at all either way. I’ve used SFP my whole life, and have no doubt a SFP scope would do what I want. I know a FFP would as well, I just was looking for guidance as to which might fit this particular rig better. For what it’s worth...
Man, thank you guys for all the information and help. I’m not dead set against a MIL/MIL scope, but every scope I’ve ever owned has been MOA/MOA so that’s what I’m used to and more comfortable with.
