Thoughts on 155gr Lapua Scenar .308 bullets

Re: Thoughts on 155gr Lapua Scenar .308 bullets I love'em. I have tuned a load for my 308 and they give the best performance out to 1000. 300 Wby eats'em too. There has been some chatter on Sierra coming out with an improved 155 that is supposed to rival the Laupua. I don't care for moly...

Nosler Vs. Laupua Case life 308

Re: Nosler Vs. Laupua Case life 308 Thanks guys! Ranger1183 - What is a load ladder. I am a Newb....sorry. Nosler has been a good choice for under 10 reloads. Since the initial post, I have backed off the lands a bit and decreased the charge just a tad. It seems the primer pockets are better...

Hunting & Fishing Average hunter skills

Re: Average hunter skills 100% assurance that you will make a shot under field conditions. I think you would eliminate about 80% of the folks in the field.

Advanced Marksmanship Rucksack as a rifle rest

Re: Rucksack as a rifle rest After the dust settled on the intial post I happened to catch an episode of "Sniper School" on the military channel. I noticed that at the time of filming, all typically used the metal base of their ruck. Interesting. No bipods. I am guessing that doctrine has...

Nosler Vs. Laupua Case life 308

What is the expected case life out of quality brass? Standard Tac load Varget 44.5 grn pushing a 175 SMK. I have experienced primer pockets stretching in the nosler brass after only a couple turns. What can I expect out of Nolser or Laupua?
