Interesting Rare Find- What Do You Think?

Re: Interesting Rare Find- What Do You Think? I will add my compliments to thread; what an absolutely sweet rifle. You don't see one from that time frame with all the accessories it has with it. I would not shoot it, just keep it well oiled and take it out of the gun safe every now and then...

1965 1000 yard national match rifle

Re: 1965 1000 yard national match rifle Wow, an engraved presentation rifle. I can't help with the value, but it is a very unique and rare rifle that should make collectors drool.

Sidearms & Scatterguns Glocks with Robar grip reduction

Re: Glocks with Robar grip reduction I had Robar do one, but it was such a long time ago that I do not remember the exact turn around time. I don't think it was over four weeks or so. I was very happy with the finished product. It eliminates the unnecessary half moon shaped gap at the rear of...

    HK91 or Valmet M78 RPK

Re: HK91 or Valmet M78 RPK The HK-91 is the way to go. You can tame the "kick" by going with a heavier buffer, either from HK or Bill Springfield offers one that works for a lot less money. You did not mention if you reload. The 91 stridates and lightly dings up the brass. That does not...

    AR15 for Hunting?

Re: AR15 for Hunting? In Wisconsin, if hunting varmints or deer, you are required to have no more than a five shot magazine in the rifle to make it legal. It can not be a larger magazine with just five rounds in it either. Just something you might want to check into before you take the rifle...

    cascadia armament?

Re: cascadia armament? I have ordered from them twice for my PRS stocks and had prompt shipping and good communication both times. I like their products a lot and they improve the PRS sling mounting capabilities. Easy installation with all parts needed for it. I believe it is a one man...

    Zero distance for .22 LR

Re: Zero distance for .22 LR I zero at 25 yards. Why, because I have a 25 yard range in my backyard. I guess it is easier to sight in at my yard, then to pack everything up and head to the gun club. Then you never know who else might be on the range you want to use that day. I am dropping...

    Best Muzzle Brake?

Re: Best Muzzle Brake? If you like Hollands, try out their new radial design muzzle brake. I put one on my SSG-69 and like it a lot. As for the looks of it, I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Rifle Scopes Red Dot sight for M4

Re: Red Dot sight for M4 I run M4 Aimpoints my ARs. I just recently bought an Aimpoint PRO which I am very anxious to try out on an AR. I don't think the M4 would qualify an "inexpensive" but at about $400 the PRO would be an optic to consider.

    Federal AutoMatch Target?

Re: Federal AutoMatch Target? I run it in my Ruger MK IIs when I am plinking at the backyard range and it is just fine for that purpose. I pick it up at the local Walmart and they seem to keep it in stock most of the time. The best bulk ammo I have used.

Sidearms & Scatterguns Pistol for Grizzly Bear Country

Re: Pistol for Grizzly Bear Country I have a good friend who is planning on spending several months in Idaho and is going to borrow my S&W 629 44 magnum with a 6 inch barrel for bear protection. I am glad I ran across this thread and will pass it along to him for his consideration.

HK 91 vs LMT 308 which to buy

Re: HK 91 vs LMT 308 which to buy I love my HK-91s. I don't reload, so the dented and stridated brass is no big deal to me. I shoot Radway Green that is Berdan primed and the 91 goes bang every time I pull the trigger. I did upgrade to PSG-1 trigger groups on both rifles which made a big...

    note on 10-22 bx-22 mags

Re: note on 10-22 bx-22 mags I just bought a bunch of these BX-25 mags for my 10/22s. So thanks for the tip, as I have yet to try them out at the range.

Best Gun Safe for an Apartment?

Re: Best Gun Safe for an Apartment? I recommend a Zanotti. When I talked to them at their factory about three weeks ago, they said they had a 9 month waiting period. So that might not help your situation. I would find a way to lag it to the floor, no matter what safe you end up going with.

A question for guys that shoot factory ammo

Re: A question for guys that shoot factory ammo I use the factory boxes the ammo came in. Just my way of recycling both the boxes and the brass.

Gun Safe - best bang for the $$...............

Re: Gun Safe - best bang for the $$............... They currently have a wait time, but I really like Zanotti safes. They are made in America and are modular. They come in six pieces that makes moving and set up a relative breeze compared to one piece heavy bulky safes. If you ever had to...
