    Gunsmithing Longshot Rifles, inc

Re: Longshot Rifles, inc It is funny how this company created an account on this site so that they could defend their name and all they have done is try and prove that they sent the stock back. Not once have they answered any other concerns that people on here have raised including the...

What does loading the bipod mean?

Re: What does loading the bipod mean? I did watch a video about that, my problem is that the feet on the bipod slide forward when you apply any weight, I have been thinking of attaching a piece of 2x4 to the front of the bench to act as a stop. We will see if that works.

Re: What does loading the bipod mean? I have found that it is very difficult to apply pressure to the bipod when shooting off of a bench, does anyone has any suggestions on how to correct this?

Re: Savage 10FP: Is this a 0.5 MOA rifle (with Pics)? Try taking your best 2 or 3 grouping loads and shoot 3 groups from each load and see what is the most consistent for you. Also try those best grouping loads at 300 yards and see if the grouping is consistent with distance. You can also...

    load development

Re: load development Once you find a good grouping load play around with seating depth, I have found some of my rifles like to be kissing the lands and other like a little jump. You will be amazed at the difference in grouping by making a .01 adjustment.

Gunsmithing How compare custom rifles from walmart type rifles

Re: How compare custom rifles from walmart type rifles I think we all have some level of agreement, I am talking about starting with an action, having that action timed and trued and then building the rest of the rifle around that, to me that is a costume gun. The great part to me about a...
