    Re: 700 SPS Tactical .308 ACCURACY ISSUES You cannot free float a flimsy stock that touches the barrel under any pressure. Ditch the Hogue and you will notice the difference. I shoot a bone stock SPS .308 tac except for an HS stock I installed. All of my groups are between .5 and .75 moa.

    Re: Is a HS precision pro ser worth the extra $80.00? For me the HS model 012 I upgraded my sps tac with was worth it. That stock fits me perfect. If it didn't then I would save more and go with an AICS or McMillan. I am not a fan of the B@C so that was never really an option for me.

    Re: Is this a Warne base? 20moa? That makes sense. I guess any straight edge should angle down and eventually touch the barrel if long enough. If it is 20MOA is there any reason to upgrade it?

    The guy I got the rifle from has no clue. I asked if it was 20moa and he said he thought it was. Any way to know for sure? I looked through pics and it looks like a Warne to me.
