    If you want longer barrel life and less recoil, go with a 284. You are really going to be at a disadvantage to the guys running rests if you step up to F-Open.     From what I've seen with my own eyes and also read in reviews, the Kowa 883 is better than everything else, including the Swarovski and the Vortex. You really need to look though one.     Need new shooting glasses: Need suggestions

    Randolph and Decot both have adjustable bridges that eliminate the problem of looking over your glasses. If you aren't looking through your glasses, they aren't protecting your eyes. I went with Randolph Edge frames and Trivex lenses. Well worth the money.
