    What is the consensus on the Barrett QDL suppressor? Are there any more cost effective options out there that won't dislocate a shoulder? Noise reduction is nice, but not the primary purpose of a suppressor in my case, but on the other end the mini-brake should help as well...

    I don't believe recoil to be the issue, I think it's more of a overpressure related thing (but then again it may just have been a coincidence and it was going to happen anyway even if I didn't have a 50bmg rifle).
