    Re: how tight do you make your scope rings? Farmer tight, making sure to dent the scope tube, that way you know for sure you got plenty of holding power. Seriously though, 15-20in lbs. The manufacturer should have specs for you follow.

    Re: How many on Hide use their precision rifle for... Definitely. I don't feel remotely as confident in lightweight hunting rigs compared to a heavier precision rifle. I'll carry a 16lb rifle over an 8-9lb rifle any day, simply because it's more comfortable for me to shoot at longer ranges.

    Re: Which Rings are the best bang for the buck Badger or Seekins are my first choice. I've picked up others for a good deal and have used them (Mark 4, EGW, TPS, Burris) but if buying new, you can't go wrong with the first two aforementioned.
