    My reloading speed

Re: My reloading speed That's fine. A lot depends on how much case prep you do. Everyone has their own amount of time they put into that. Once that work is done, it only takes about 10 minutes to prime 100 cases and then 40 minutes or so to charge and seat the bullet if you have an...

    6.5 Creedmoor Options

Re: 6.5 Creedmoor Options Thanks Buffy. Last one looks to be sold and others are not pistol stocks. Really looking for 6.5CM as well. I know if I hang long enough a nice one will turn up. That is always the dilemma vs. building.

    6.5 Creedmoor Options

Currently shooting a TRG-22 in 308 but have a number of other semis. Great rifle. Would also like to try a 6.5 in a bolt gun (no, I don't need it, but when has that ever been a reason not to do something). Trying to figure out the best way to put something together that won't take a year...

Where to reload? Space and Environment Issues

Re: Where to reload? Space and Environment Issues Another vote for keeping everything in the house under better climate control and then just use the garage for the work. I have all my equipment in the basement in locked cabinets (kids) and I just walk it out to the garage and set it up on...

Getting started on reloading need some input

Re: Getting started on reloading need some input I bought a Hornady classic kit and have replaced many of the items. I now have an RCBS hand primer, an RCBS case prep station and an RCBS Charge Master, to name a few of the bigger items. Would I buy the kit again knowing what I know now...

    help with Coal???

Re: help with Coal??? +1 for Suasponte. Just mock up a cartridge and use a bullet comparator to measure ogive distance after carefully seeing where ogive hits the lands -- eject carefully so bullet doesn't change position upon ejection.

    Seating question

Re: Seating question What is your COAL and ogive lengths? Then compare to what others are doing. And what are you looking to achieve? Are you measuring off the lands using ogive? Are you checking for mag feed issues? Lyman shows COAL from 2.925 to 3.050" for 140s.

Buying Remington Bolt Action and Barrel Only

Re: Buying Remington Bolt Action and Barrel Only And in terms of accuracy, can folks comment on going with a more traditional stock as opposed to a AR-like stock such as a McRee where you just drop in the barreled action and go. Am curious myself.

bipods for my rem 700 5r

Re: bipods for my rem 700 5r There's a good thread in the equipment section discussing bipods. For you folks running Atlas pods, are you shooting with the legs perpendicular or forward 45 degrees?
