Re: LEO shooters, need input +1 on the variable. In fact, the USO you mentioned is the same I am running on my duty .308. Part of our quals requires 25 yrd shots in the "T" after a bit of running. I have found it alot easier to dail down to 3 or power and let fly than to shoot at 10 power...

Re: Hunting Bullets If you are happy with your 175 Mathcking performance, take a look at the 180 Gamekings and the 178 Hornandy Amax's. In my experience, I have just swapped the bullets out with the same powder charge. Their was little deviation from my established dope between the 175's...

Re: Which one, 168gr SMK or A-maxes To each there own...I was really hoping that my new rifle would like the 178 AMAX round....but it is a SMK type of girl it seems. The AMAX's are holding right below 1 MOA right now as I am going through my load development...the SMK's...below 1/2 MOA right...

180 and 175 grn SMK's

As the title states, I am interested in the 180 and 175 grain SMK's in a .308. I have been reloading for a while and my rifles seem to like the 175 loads I have used. But what is the purpose of the 180's, does anyone use them and favor them over the 175's? I've put my hands on a bout 10 180's...
