    Re: Need advice on a new bolt gun I'm partial to the 700 as well, for the reasons you mention, the parts that aren't as good (stock, trigger) can be readily replaced by better ones that work exactly the way you want if the originals parts don't work out.

    Re: Do you switch scopes on your rifles? Once I mount a scope it's mounted, unless there is any issue with the mount. I use Larue mounts for the reverse, using the same scope on different (but generally similar) guns since they return to zero reliably.
