Rifle Scopes Athlon Ares BTR Gen II

If you’re talking about the Gen 1 Ares BTR? I certainly didn’t see any difference optically either but the turrets were better on the PST by a long way.

Might be winter where you are .... but it's starting to hit 30 degrees Celcius regularly where I am!

    Savage teams up with MDT

Ive seen a review on the .22 semi auto model. The rifle came out of the factory missing a spring so it fired on taking the safety off as well as having severe magazine feeding issues whilst also having the accuracy of a shot gun..... For me, Savage misses the mark too often to trust them with...

Rifle Scopes Hunting scope recommendation for a 6.5 prc rifle?

I’ve just received my Delta Stryker HD for long range hunting / gong bashing. It’s going on a Tikka Superlight in a carbon stock. The choices were pretty heavy in my price range (including second hand) and the Delta fit the bill. Not too heavy and great mag range. Could be a little too much low...

    Tikka T3 Thread

Depends on your shooting experience really. .7 edge to edge is not an accurate measurement as group size is centre to centre unless you are subtracting the diameter of the bullet. A factor in group size is consistent cheek weld so if you hav emoted your head off the cheek rest while cycling...

Rifle Scopes Dissapointed in Athlon Cronus BTR tracking.

Even though you are in Europe, you will get looked after if you can spare the time. Just got a Delta Stryker HD and they’re European so might be worth a look?

    Tikka T3 Thread

All good man. I’m a while away from shooting due to work. May even be next year April some time.... so I’m slowly growing my collection of parts until it’s ready to see the Smith for an inlet, bolt flute and load development. I would do load development myself but I just don’t have anytime to...

Rifle Scopes Delta Stryker HD 4.5-30x56 - Tikka Ring height

Ok, so I mock mounted it up in the Badger 34 mm medium alloy on a MDT 20 MOA rail to check the height. Looks like it’s good to go. Will check on the 0 MOA rail when I get home but it looks somewhat lower from the pictures.

    Go Savage then Evolve

I really enjoyed the build. The model 11 was a decent rig and for the money I spent, well worth the fun of having a “one off” so to speak. I also had a Pred max 1 in 223 that was CRAZY accurate and bought the SSS shooting fluted bolt. Man, that smoothed it up real nice as it felt a little...

    Go Savage then Evolve

I found the Savage evolution to be a lot of fun and very addictive. I secured a standard used model 11 in 22-250 and then ordered a few bits and bobs. Was a very accurate wee rifle as stock but really good after a new stock, bedding and a few other bits and bobs.

Rifle Scopes Getting back to long range shooting

Depends on what you can stretch to. Agree that the ETR is a better option than the BTR. I found the eye bow a little tight at full mag on mine. Reticle and adjustments were excellent. Might even be possible to grab a Gen 2 Razor from a forum member. They have been going for really good prices...

Rifle Scopes Delta Stryker HD 4.5-30x56 - Tikka Ring height

Hi all, I know there is a sticky thread with how to measure ring height but I don’t have my rifle with me and don’t have the scope either! Just purchased the new model with locking turrets and am looking to buy some Nightforce 4 screw rings to go on my Tikka super light that has an MDT 20 Moa...

Rifle Scopes Tikka T3 scope base

Went with the mdt model. It has a recoil lug and I like that feature for added protection against screws slipping under recoil. Watched a Rex Reviews video where they talked about how common the screws slipping is and found the mdt well priced and well made.

    Poor CS w/ MDT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You’ve come in a little hot there boss. It seems that he waited quite a while before having a moan and it’s been pointed out that his reputation on the board would suggest he’s something other than a moaner. It’s not for us to judge whether $80 is a big deal to someone or not and as MDT have...
