    6.5 Creedmoor vs 6.5 PRC

If you aren't going to hunt, absolutely get the Creedmoor. A buddy of mine built a 6.5 prc as a match rifle, against my recommendation. He shot one match with it, cost like $150 in ammo, and by the end he was flinching so bad he couldn't hit anything. In a 18lb rifle! He immediately ordered a...

Why do we still dislike Griffin?

Yes...you are correct, that's literally my point. I'm not comparing that suppressor to a taper mount suppressor. The question was posed what makes a precision can. I was simply pointing out why a can like an M4SDK is designed for something other than precision given it's mounting system and it's...

Why do we still dislike Griffin?

Yes...but those are all thread mount to a brake. The M4SD-K is their gate-lok QD mount. I assure you, there is movement. But it doesn't matter given it's purpose.

Why do we still dislike Griffin?

Mostly just what the can is designed for I guess. Repeatability with TBACs are incredible. I honestly haven't done any testing but the M4SD-K has some "slop" in the QD mount, I could see that leading to some inconsistency at distance, maybe not. But given it's purpose as a carbine can, I'm not...

Why do we still dislike Griffin?

I have an M4SD-K, I really like it. Not a precision can but a great hard use suppressor. I also have one of their mounts. I got it "free", with a 200 dollar credit to their store when I bought the can. Not gonna lie, it's a real pain to put together. Very solid once set up, but I won't be buying...

I gotcha, thanks for the info Zak!

    Titanium TBAC CB Mount?

I've often thought about just using red locktite on a cb brake in my cans. I've bought enough brakes that I could've bought another can if my cans were direct thread lol. Is there any reason, for a dedicated hunting can, why it would be a bad idea to just red locktite a titanium brake in a...

    Long Rifles Inc?

Already got a notification that the bolt was fluted and sent off for coating. I appreciate the communication and update. It certainly won't be the last time I use LRI for gunsmithing services.

    Long Rifles Inc?

Yep, I get that, the phone not even ringing or not having a voicemail really threw me off. I guess I should've just been more patient. I know they are great company, it just seemed really out of the ordinary.

    Long Rifles Inc?

I also tried calling on Friday, same thing, phone went straight to voicemail, and you couldn't leave a voicemail. So it seemed like a pattern. Whatever that was about, it is what it is, and I was able to talk to someone.

    Long Rifles Inc?

Well I tried to call several times, phone still going straight to voicemail. Waited a while, tried again and ended up getting through, spoke to Chad, great dude, he is taking care of everything. Thank you!

    Long Rifles Inc?

Has anyone had contact with Long Rifles Inc. lately? I sent a bolt to have fluted two months ago. I was being patient because it was a unique bolt so I understood it would likely take longer than their quoted 21 day turnaround. I called after they had it for four weeks, they said no problem...

Help from a Zermatt action owner please

It's got quite a bit to do with it. How the trigger times with the action, trigger weight, etc. As an example, I had a Timney Calvin Elite on my action until about 3 months ago, a trigger which I understand does not time very well with the origin, and the bolt lift is substantially lighter with...

Help from a Zermatt action owner please

My Origin is just under 3lbs best I can measure. That's with a Triggertech Special set at 1lb-3oz and Zermatt's tactical bolt knob. The action is decently broke in. Probably 1200 rds live fire, thousands of dry fire.

    KRG Echo Chassis

Definitely intrigued by this. For a long action Tikka hunting rifle, I like the idea of using the factory mags, they are low profile, lightweight and they work. I get everyone wants AICS, I usually do too, but this will be a nice option at a pretty amazing price point.

    Tikka T1X

I shot an Nrl22 match yesterday. I only used the NDR mag. 8 out of 9 stages it was flawless. On the last stage of the day the first round took a nose dive into the feed ramp. Pulled the mag, pulled that round out and then it ran great. I've had that happen once or twice with my factory mags too...

    Tikka T1X

I have, full disclosure it was only 30rds running ammo through it and 30rds actually shooting it. Had a couple sticks when I was just running the ammo through. No issues at all when actually shooting. I was probably running the bolt a little harder then. I have an NRL22 match next weekend I can...

    Tikka T1X

I agree, little pricey but I have not had good success with the factory mag and extensions. Had one fall off in the middle of a stage so that was the end of that. If this runs it's worth it in my opinion

Anyone tried the T1x NDR 15rd mags? Just got mine today, haven't gotten a chance to shoot it yet but I'm pumped to have a 15rd option.
