    Bergara, or Tikka, or CZ?

All Leupold rifle scopes are designed, machined, and assembled in Beaverton, Oregon (even their cheap ones). I've toured their huge factory, it's like Willy Wonka's machine shop with row after row of million dollar Index CNC lathes. Huge assembly clean room. A warren of optical design/testing...

    Rifle Scopes New Guy Question

It’s a bad idea. At a minimum, you have to verify zero after each switch. Plus probable issues with zero being at different dial clicks on each rifle. It flies against the core tenets of consistency and repeatability. Frankly, I don’t understand the demand for QD mounts.

Rifle Scopes Leupold Mark 5hd illuminated reticle

I’m guessing that the thicker lines on the illuminated reticle are to provide more surface area to bounce illumination off of to enhance the illumination visibility.

    Rifle Scopes New Leupold Reticle

While I'm at it, here's a slightly better image for the PR-2 MIL reticle than what's already been posted in this thread.

    Rifle Scopes New Leupold Reticle

For the curious, here's what the PR-1 MOA reticle looks like (available on Mark 5HD MOA models). I assume you mean Leupold will be releasing a PR-1 MIL in the future.

    Rifle Scopes Athlon Helos opinions

It is going to be tough to beat the SWFA at $300. But @gr8fuldoug at CameraLandNY has an awesome deal on the Athlon Ares BTR GEN2 2.5-15x50 for $550.

    Rifle Scopes Athlon Helos opinions

For $300, the best fixed power scope is the SWFA 10x42mm rear focus. Built like a tank, quality glass, and tremendous track record. Available in MRAD or MOA. https://www.swfa.com/swfa-ss-10x42-tactical-30mm-riflescope-3.html

Rifle Scopes Arken Optics EP-4 Tracking Test Video

There's a problem with the mobile version of arkenopticsusa.com. Specs section of web pages only display when viewed from a desktop. If you're stuck on mobile, you can get specs from their other website, arkenoptics.com. https://www.arkenoptics.com/ep-4-16x50-riflescope-p00101.html One...

Rifle Scopes Reticle for a Newbie

I’d recommend the Mil-XT over the Tremor3. Cleaner and less cluttered, but has everything you need.

Rifle Scopes Limited Run Elite Tactical HDMR II-CR (Close Range)

Questions about the 1-8x30: * Are the clicks 0.2 MRAD or 0.1 MRAD? Bushnell.com says 50 CM per turn, but EuroOptic.com shows 1 CM per click (one must be wrong). * Is illuminated dot "daylight bright" or just "daylight visible"? * CR2032 battery? * Estimated battery life? Thanks!

Rifle Scopes Kahles K18i arriving finally

@MSTN Gorgeous rifle. It looks like an amazing lockup between the upper and lower - the gap is almost invisible.

Rifle Scopes Building a shorty lightweight gun

Here's a list of all Stubby FFP scopes at least 14X (35 optics, 123 reticles): * First focal plane (FFP) * Variable power with at least 14X * Length 13.5 inches or less * Weight 40 ounces or less Once you find a scope you like, call a Hide vendor. They can quote lower prices over the phone...

Rifle Scopes Looking for a prism scope.

Where is the GLx 2X Prism assembled? Is parallax fixed at 100 yards? The AUTOLIVE motion activation and 20,000 hour battery life make this a great candidate optic for a home defense rifle.

    Rifle Scopes Green reticle

I don't think the NF ATACR 1-8x24 has green illumination, but I don't have one on hand to verify. I could be wrong. Here's my list of LPVOs with 1-6X or more and available green illumination: Hi-Lux CMR8F 1-8x26 SwampFox Arrowhead 1-6x24 SwampFox Arrowhead 1-8x24 SwampFox Arrowhead 1-10x24...

Rifle Scopes Trijicon Credo line up

As best as I've been able to determine, Trijicon ACOG, VCOG, RMR, SRO, and MRO optics are made in the USA (Wixon, Michigan). Trijicon AccuPoint rifle scopes are assembled in the USA, but use components from Japan and Czechia (Czech Republic). Trjicon Tenmile, Credo, Ascent, and Huron rifle...

Rifle Scopes Master list of FFP long range rifle scopes

Good catch, thanks! It appears Hensoldt updated the reticle sometime in the past couple years and I didn't notice. Their website is awful short on details for a $7000 scope (e.g., no reticle information). I'll fix it in the next list update.

A rant about poor focal plane, dial limit and reticle data on scope brand websites

Lately, I've been collecting data from manufacturer (and reseller) websites about scope specs, and I want to rant about my frustrations. * Focal plane is an essential specification. Most brands simply say nothing about focal plane on many of...

Rifle Scopes Issues seeing through scopes

I wear reading glasses, but trade them out for plain clear ballistic glasses when shooting, and push the glasses close to my face. I adjust the ocular focus ring to correct reticle focus for my eyesight. I prefer over the ear muffs, but I slide the headband forward to the bill of my ball cap to...

Rifle Scopes Master list of FFP long range rifle scopes

I've made major updates to the list of FFP scopes, so I figured I'd bump the thread. I welcome any feedback on how to make the lists more useful. * Added 2020 releases * You can now sort the lists by brand, price category, magnification, or weight. * You can now filter the lists. To filter a...
