    Remington is making a new model! I believe it is called the long range hunter. I almost left Cabelas with one on Friday just because it was chambered in 30-06. It looked like it was a 26" varmint profile barrel in a bell and Carlson M40 style stock. I wish I knew if it was a 1/10 twist.

    1200yds, .308 win, 168gr amax, 2810fps, 964' ASL, 62 F, wind was 1-3mph from 2 o'clock. I hit a 100% IPSC with my cold bore shot and rang it pretty consistent from there on out.

    I have a Leupold mark AR MOD 1 3-9x with TMR on my Savage .22 WMR trainer. The scope has been flawless to date, dialing between 50 and 300yds always returning to zero. I Think you will be pleased with the Leupold.

    I have used them extensively out to 1200yds, super accurate in my rifle out to that range. They are devastating on Texas White Tail as well.

    The MK4 M5 I own is 10 times the scope compared to the PST, in my opinion. I own two ffp PST scopes and I still think they are great, but the Leupold has far better glass. The clicks are more audible and positive, I also prefer the TMR reticle compared to the vortex reticle. If money does not...

    I found a good deal on this ammunition but I have never shot anything HSM. I usually stick to SW Ammo 178s but they won't let me buy any right now. Is it worth snapping up the 40 boxes? This will be used for long range steel and hunting.

    No I have three savages with the top bolt release in stockade rifle stocks. They build great stuff and are very knowledgable on Savage rifles. I am sure they could inlet a stock for you give them a call and see what they say.
