Yeah I wouldn’t say I don’t care about my hearing. That’s the reason why I’m getting a suppressor in the first place. I just may need to rarely shoot without suppressor or earpro.- ColtSAA.45

Meh… the government’s cost me a lot of my hearing already between MG’s, demolitions, and jet engines. A few shots a year on animals isn’t gonna cost that much more- ColtSAA.45

I definitely wouldn’t be concerned with the noise aspect when an elk comes out and have no issues shooting without earpro with crowned muzzles and flash hiders. I do that all the time. I only have a couple muzzle brakes on target rifles and I think that it would be pretty brutal without earpro...- ColtSAA.45

Oh wow, the atf website says 100 days estimate for eform. It doesn’t surprise me at all that it’s way longer than that. My first suppressor was 11 months (paper form).- ColtSAA.45

To provide everyone with an update: I listed to the majority here and picked up a TBAC Ultra 7 .30 cal. I just left the gun shop and submitted my eform. Can’t wait to get it! If I’m lucky I might have it in time for Christmas!- ColtSAA.45

Cheap amazon headspace gauges: ZPV?
Wow good to know. I'm glad I listened to others in this thread and bought a forester go gauge. I used a snip of an aluminum can and stuck it to the back to get a go gauge. It was exactly .004 longer than the go gauge and worked well.- ColtSAA.45

Yeah I hear you, but I know myself too well. When I'm hunting, ear pro is the last thing I think of. I also hunt a lot of different situations from close in to long range. Do you have experience with the Rugged M2 brake? One concern I didn't mention is that I am not always going to hunt with the suppressor in states that don't allow it. I don't want to blow my eardrums with a normal brake. I'm wondering if the M2 brake is as loud as a normal brake when unsuppressed?- ColtSAA.45
