    Gunsmithing mossberg MVP blueprint?

Re: mossberg MVP blueprint? Does anyone else remember the old Raptor actions? They were essentially a SUPER cheap 700 styled rifle. All of the earlier Mossber 4x4s etc were copies of (never got confirmation that they bought up Raptor inventory) the Raptors, they had the funky bolt shroud...

    Some Pictures from the Trenches

Re: Some Pictures from the Trenches Awesome pictures. Appreciate the sharing. I was at the Infantry Museum in PA back in the fall and walking the repro trenches was enlightening, and thinking of living life there was bad enough, but to imagine having to leave the potential safety to cross 'No...

    National WWI Museum

Re: National WWI Museum I just got back from Gardner.... and TRIED so hard to get there with some time and just couldn't pull it off. I was really let down, all work and no play. VJJ recommended it to me and I was all about it- alas. Maybe next year.

    Japanese arisaka parts

Re: Japanese arisaka parts DON'T MOLEST that rifle....... I have scoped two actions... they were seriously bubbaed. It's a drill and tap, cut and weld the bolt handle. The bolt handle is too short to properly bend and get any sort of good service out of.

Gunsmithing New barrels with new serial #'s

Re: New barrels with new serial #'s Let me clear this up in a jiff. The reason she said the barrel came with a new serial number is because Remington doesn't REbarrel ANYthing. They pull a new barreled receiver off the line, and if your bolt is in safe condition- they use it with a new...

    Gunsmithing Copper Fouling Solvent

Re: Copper Fouling Solvent Sweet's 7.62.......... FOLLOW the directions. I did a rebarrel on a rifle that a guy used it on. He was sure if 15 minutes was good, all night would be better. Just remember- DON'T use a copper brush to scrub it in

    Gunsmithing Wheeler Engineering Cerama-Coat

Re: Wheeler Engineering Cerama-Coat I didn't resloder it. I didn't take it off at all- I meant it held up well on the 870 INCLUDING on the mag tube which is a high wear area. If you are too concerned then just order military black Cera Kote and do it and be done.

    POOR MAN"S M97 Trenchgun

Re: POOR MAN"S M97 Trenchgun How you like the OX for the stock? I think the next one should have a chainsaw mounted to it, because you know they would have done that in WWII if they could have. Kraut and Weenies would have filled the trenches. Nice job, excellent creativity.

Virginia is repealing the 'one gun per month law"

Re: Virginia is repealing the 'one gun per month law" The one handgun a month thing is crap. It is actually one handgun every 30 days, we still could not buy one Feb.29th and then again Mar 1 as so many people thought. Completely uselss and sad and I daggone sure hope we get rid of the CCW...

Gunsmithing Where to get basic gunsmithing tools

Re: Where to get basic gunsmithing tools Brownells is great for TRULY Gun specific stuff, and occasionally Midway has better prices, but honestly I'd rather give my money to Frank than Larry- but that's neither here nor there. Files and stones and cutters and so on and so forth can often be...
