Remmington 700 VTR .308 ...........NEEDS WORK!!

Great 700 action, terrible stock, weak trigger. I need some input on makeing this rifle worth while. Got a few dollars in it, it has a Leupold Mark 3 3.5-10x50 illuminated scope, but stock doesnt feel right and mcmillan can't channel a flat line for the triangle barrel, just round ones. Please...
