Decision on a new big bore whisper rifle.
It will just take too long to build the whisper that I really want so I am considering another avenue from now. I am looking for ideas on a good candidate. Re: 22LR heavy gun scope selection air or rifle scope I might settle for a mil dot if I have to but much prefer the tactical elevation type with the cross hairs with elevation hashes rather than just dots. IME, some dots are pretty big and obscure the target unless they are hollow dots.- fastline

I am still trying to lay this to rest and decide on a scope that is a BARGAIN for the limited ranges of the 22. Obviously 200yds is about the limit for a 22. Well, I would be shooting a WHOLE lot more that 220gr in a big bore. right now I am looking at 550-600gr in a .458 and if I go to the Beowulf, I would target about 700gr. this will obviously be a long bullet so probably not considerable...- fastline
