    Suppressors 260 bolt action suppressed?

Re: 260 bolt action suppressed? I shoot a 260 (bolt) with a TBAC 30P-1. It's pretty quiet. Every 260 shooter I can think of (that I know) uses a 30 cal can. When I was ordering the 30P-1, I asked if I could have it built with a 6.5mm bore (vs 7.62mm/30cal). ThunderBeast said yes, but didn't...

Sidearms & Scatterguns SIG P226 slide differences

Re: SIG P226 slide differences The milled slides are US made, have the visible extractor that you are referring to, and the bolt face area (whatever you would call that) is part of the slide. The German slides are not milled, have no visible extractor from the outside, and have a separate...

Monthly Sporting Rifle match RATON NM

Re: Monthly Sporting Rifle match RATON NM Similar to DT's post... I'm planning on driving down from the Denver area on Saturday afternoon or evening and returning to Denver Sunday after the match. I'm looking for someone to split the transportation costs (gas) with. PM if interested.

CO Rifle Club (CRC) Long Range Precision Rifle

Re: CRC LRPR Feb. 2012 Results Thanks again to RJ and Jess for putting this match together month after month, and being open to making changes to keep it efficient. I think 4 squads would help if you have enough people... with the 15 shooters in the morning session, everyone one would nearly...

    Suppressors Thunder Beast Suppressor Owners

Re: Thunder Beast Suppressor Owners I was in your situation a year ago, trying to decide which suppressor to purchase. I'm extremely glad I went with TBAC. I have a 30P-1 that I run on a 260, 300 BLK, and 223. Zero complaints. Their products are amazing. Most important, the TBAC team is very...

Sniper’s Hide Cup Official 2012 Sniper's Hide Cup

Re: Official 2012 Sniper's Hide Cup From the CD website: "Applications that arrive on the same day will be added to the list in random order." Is this still the case, or is it first come, first serve once the application and email address are available?

    Suppressors Tbac30p-1 on a 5.56

Re: Tbac30p-1 on a 5.56 Another happy 223 shooter with a 30P-1. Zero complaints. I'm glad I can have one can that works well on several calibers. I went with a thread adapter from a SH member that makes them. There's a long post about it somewhere...

    Suppressors Getting my R700 suppressed

Re: Getting my R700 suppressed Another vote for Thunderbeast. I went with their 30 cal can (30P-1) and run it on nearly everything 30 cal and smaller. I'm of a similar mindset of having one can to do it all, but the 338 cans are significantly larger than the the 30 cal cans. The way I see...

    Rifle Scopes nightforce questions

Re: nightforce questions I was faced with the same question. I went with the 3.5-15x50 for one main reason, I wanted the reticle to be correct for wind holds. The extra mag would be nice, but without the scope being a front focal plane I can accept less mag for the correct reticle scale at...

Need a 300 blackout subsonic load with widener 175

Re: Need a 300 blackout subsonic load with widener 175 I've concluded that 10.2gr (AA1680) with 225gr Hornadys and 11.3gr with 175 SMKs both yield close to 1000fps. I find it interesting that the lighter bullet requires more powder to achieve the same velocity. Also, the 11.3gr load (175...

Need a 300 blackout subsonic load with widener 175

Re: Need a 300 blackout subsonic load with widener 175 Well country888, looks like you were spot on. I just tried 10.2 to 10.8gr of AA1680 with 175 SMKs and velocities were 833-929fps. Based on these velocities I predict that 11.3 should get me around 1000fps.

    260 Remington Brass?

Re: 260 Remington Brass? Rem 260 brass if you can find it. With a little prep it shoots greats. I messed with the whole neck-downed 308 mess... it works, but that is exactly what it is, a mess. Factory Rem 260 runs fine. I got mine at midway a year ago.

Actual Experiences with JLK 140 VLDs in 260 Rem?

Re: Actual Experiences with JLK 140 VLDs in 260 Rem? Just an update - I've shot about 600 of these 140 JLKs now. I'm getting 2820fps from a 26" 260 with 43.3gr of H-4350. I couldn't be happier with the consistency and how well the calculated ballistics match. The B.C. in Litz's book seems to...

Rifle Scopes My USO Customer Service Experience

Re: My USO Customer Service Experience To add onto this - just received my first USO scope this past week. Sadly, for my wallet, it probably won't be my last... Their customer service was excellent, and I can't imagine how the build quality could be any better.

    Rifle Scopes $300 dollar scope

Re: $300 dollar scope Another vote for a SWFA Super Sniper. Having had a 10x42 and a 20x42, I'd suggest the 16x42. I liked the 10 power a lot and the optics seemed ever so slightly better than the 20 power, but I wanted a more power. The 20x was too much power for me.
