    Winchester M1917**Pic Heavy**

Picked up a remington bayonet at a gun show this morning. Awesome shape. One of the nicest i have seen. It still has grease on the blade. The gunk and discoloration is the old grease. The edge and rest of the blade are in awesome shape

    Winchester M1917**Pic Heavy**

KraigWY im already looking at bayonets. I have them for all my other service rifles. Looks like the bayonet is gonna cost almost as much as the rifle. How does yours shoot? Mine has an Eddystone barrel. I have read some Eddystone barrels are good, and some not so much. Im gonna take it to the...

    Winchester M1917**Pic Heavy**

I have yet to shoot it but so far i really like it. Been rubbing kroil and linseed oil on the stock and metal and its really coming back to life. Gonna clean her real good before i go to the range. Really expect it to shoot good. The rifling is strong and the bore is bright.

    Winchester M1917**Pic Heavy**

Just picked up a Winchester M1917 in 30-06. I love these old service rifles. If anyone knows anything about this rifle let me know. Im just beginning to learn about them. It has a "W" marked rear sight and bolt. The barrel is an Eddystone i believe. It is stamped "E" 9-18. It has a very good...

Badger FTE vs APA Fat Bastard

Been thinking about threading my muzzle for a brake. My 308 doesnt recoil much but i like the look of a brake and less recoil is always a plus. I have no experience with muzzle brakes but like the way these two look. I have also heard good things about both. Anyone here used both? Which one was...

    1884 Springfield Trapdoor 45/70 GOVT

After getting some info from a very knowledgable fellow in las vegas i now know that what i have is actually a 1873 model manufactured in the 3rd quarter of 1879. Everything is correct except the breechblock. This gun was redone at the armory before the spanish american war. That was most likely...

    1884 Springfield Trapdoor 45/70 GOVT

Sorry for the bad lighting. All i had was a cell phone. Overall i thing the gun is in very good condition. But, as i start to learn more, im beginning to question whether it is actually a model 1884. The sights dont seem to be right. I am starting to think it may be a model 1873 with a model...
