I'm looking through web sites and came across Athlon's new New! Athlon Optics Ares ETR 4.5-30x56 Color: Tan Reticle: APRS1 FFP IR MIL. Makes me drool, still too new to find any reviews. Awesome looking rifle!!! You know that will turn heads coming out of the case and again when comparing group sizes!! I can't wait till mine is complete in a few more weeks. Vudoo Owners....Are you doing any break in?
I'm asking this to those who have already received their rifle. Are you doing any kind of break in before trying to determine what ammo performs best? I'm asking because on rimfire barrels that are custom cut, I wonder if anyone has noticed POI change after certain number of rounds down the...- Jory45acp

Vudoo barrel length
On a few other forums this same question will get the response from a few quoted gunsmiths and barrel makers saying in .22 LR anything past 16" gains you pretty much nothing. That being said they all offer barrels out to 18 or 20" or more. Barrel length should really be determined by your needs...- Jory45acp
