    6.5x47 hunting bullets

Re: 6.5x47 hunting bullets i used the Nosler 140 grain Partition for a lot of years in my 6.5x55s and .264 WM rifles. they do a good job, better at 6.5x55 velocities than .264 speeds. but they shot easily well enough from all of my rifles for hunting.

How do you adjust decapper in redding competition

Re: How do you adjust decapper in redding competition in the top of the adjustment knob, there is a hole in which to put an allen wrench to lock the decapper where you want it. it has a set screw or something of the sort in there.

Hunting & Fishing Montana Wolf tags go on sale Aug. 31

Re: Montana Wolf tags go on sale Aug. 31 Todd, i don't get your point. FWP is in charge of both game licenses and the wolf population yet you bitch about hunters and land owners as being the problems. and speaking of back yards, does yours have wolves? what i find amusing is how those that...

7mm Mag and 162 gr AMax

Re: 7mm Mag and 162 gr AMax short answer: slightly shorter than your magazine length or .020" off the lands, whichever is shortest. BUT, i usually try to seat so the bullets are in contact with the lands when the cartridge is chambered. this requires reducing the powder charge and a chamber...

    Gunsmithing Badger M5 Installation Question

Re: Badger M5 Installation Question here is a pic from the link KingKong posted. looks pretty much like mine. the front and rear tangs are slightly below the stock, but not enough to matter. mine was a long action tho.

    Gunsmithing Badger M5 Installation Question

Re: Badger M5 Installation Question i did an M5 in an H-S. you do not need to re-bed the action, as the bottom metal will not shift it's position if done right. you can use the aluminum bedding block built into the H-S stock instead of installing the BO pillars. the thing is tho, that they...

The Magic Number - What is it?

Re: The Magic Number - What is it? often i don't even measure MV. i just seat to the lands, load up to pressure signs i'm comfey with, and if said load meets my accuracy needs, i just rock that load. seriously, i've spent less than an hour developing .5 moa loads for a rifle capable of such...

    Gunsmithing Guessing torque values

Re: Guessing torque values the trick is to use the least amount of torque to do the job reliably, not the most your fasteners will stand. i seldom torque gun stuff, even tho i have the torque wrench. i tighten mount systems on light recoiling rifles less than those on my heavies. and the...

Re: Leupold Mark 4 MR/T M2 2.5-8x36mm TMR (60180) be a great hunting scope. get your dope in MOA and mil (easy on JBM ballistics). i put mil in first column and MOA in second. i have a few MK 4s and it isn't too tough to make them work. i also have a few VXII scopes in 2.5-8 that i sent...
