    I am hopeful that they will be here by early summer, I think the STR and Rover Tactical models will be here first, as they were going to make a few changes to the st-17 chassis before they went into full production. The Barreled action is the same in all three.

    why not more 22-250 trainers

    Most people I know what a trainer for the cheaper cost per round, longer barrel life while getting reps. Having matching ballistics to your competition gun isn't usually isn't high on the priority list for most, but if you can do it and that works for you go for it.

    Just get a barrel with the proper gas port and it isn't needed.

    The 6.5 uses the Golden Target bullets which are the uncoated version of the Diamond line. It is made by RUAG but to PRIMES specs.

    My only question about this is if this is marketed towards LE, which I would assume it is given the SWAT in the name, will it have issues in dirty conditions or suppressed? As someone who carries a 308 on duty I would be very interested in a LB but it would need to be suppressed and function...

    I have used a lot of them as well as my friends, they have all been very accurate, I have just found them to be on the slow side.

    I have a 15-22 that I bought as a trainer and it functions identical to a regular AR. It eats everything I feed it and as a bonus if you have young kids its a great starter to get them into AR platforms.
