    Its still under the feed lips at this point. Ive thought maybe the magazine alignment is off but all three magazines repeat the problem.. Magazines insert and lock in well.

    The step, that I think you mean is the edge of the barrel that is slightly tapered before the chamber.     I have also tried changing the spring tension on the magazine release mechanism as I read in other post about magazine alignment causing problems with feeding. I have not experienced trouble on the feed ramp itself.
