Thank you for the response. I don't think the 7 saum will be too bad on steel targets. It's a very mild load, with low recoil, and only going 2800 fps. It should be very similar to the 308's. But I'll look into that. Might be time to build a 6.5 of some sort.- PowellSixO

Thanks for the suggestions guys. I've looked at the Pelican, and it looks like a good case. I just wanted to make sure it would fit both rifles. I think I am going to go ahead and just drive though. For the right case I'd be willing to do that. Whatever it takes to keep them safe from a pissed off airport worker. I'm going to be flying with 2 rifles for a deer hunt this fall, and need to get a hard case that will protect them from the airport. Both rifles will have Gen 2 PST 5-25x50 scopes on them. You are probably right. I just live in bfe, and don't know when I'll make it to a sportsmans or other place that sells optics. The guy I usually use gives me a healthy discount on Vortex items, and just ships them to my house. I'll have to try and get my hands on both at the same time some how...- PowellSixO

Rifle Scopes Nikon FX-1000
I've really been eye balling the Nikons since the release of the X1000. Now that they have it available in the FFP, I'm really having a hard time not picking one up.
