    DPMS LR model decision time.

Re: DPMS LR model decision time. The DPMS 7.62 MK 12 is another good option, less than the SASS but will still put you over your budget with the $600 glass. They can be found for $1500. They have an 18" barrel, standard gas system, two stage trigger and weigh 2lbs less than the SASS.

    My DPMS 260 LR

Re: My DPMS 260 LR Oh my gosh drop the rails guys, its getting old they look fine and the minuscule weight added by them is negligible. Beside they do look kind of cool Anyway that is one sick stick! I'm sure its heavier than, well something heavy but it sure looks nice. I'm...

Armalite 260 or DPMS 6.5 Creedmoore

Re: Armalite 260 or DPMS 6.5 Creedmoore I would say the 6.5 Creedmoore. I haven't heard of any of the DPMS 6.5 barrels having issues. You will most likely have to switch out the trigger but in my opinion its always more fun to have a complete rifle over another upper. I kind of think the...

Who has good .308 DPMS barrels in stock?

Re: Who has good .308 DPMS barrels in stock? +1 for Black Hole Weaponry. Their barrels are nice, they're nice and their price is nice, see things do come in threes!

    DPMS LR upper source

Re: DPMS LR upper source IRA, JD, JP, Kaiser, Fulton Armory, POF, SI-Defense and obviously Bushmaster/Remington. Fulton is the cheapest option if you're looking to find an old spec height, but with Troy and other companies making rails to line up the new height . . .

    Iron Ridge Arms

Re: Iron Ridge Arms Seeing as you used an SI Defense upper you shouldn't have an issue but if you do I just got one of the buffer pads mentioned above and logically it should fix any issues. I mean a $5 fix really isn't that big of a deal, like I said though you shouldn't have any issues. I...

    Upper compatabilities

Re: Upper compatabilities okay so seeing as that link doesn't have any information for the DPMS, I'll list them out for you. DPMS Fulton Armory SI-Defense JD Kaiser IRA-XD Tactical Machining (when they get them finished) JP Remington Bushmaster These should all work without modification to...

advice appreciated: building my 1st .308 AR

Re: advice appreciated: building my 1st .308 AR Since your not looking to buy from DPMS you won't have to worry about their back log, but the Ma-Ten is a fun route, but it won't be as cheep as buying the upper you linked to. In all actuality if you want to build you could still use DPMS...

advice appreciated: building my 1st .308 AR

Re: advice appreciated: building my 1st .308 AR First off, welcome, second be careful what you call an AR-10. Best to just say 308 AR or large frame AR (technically only ArmaLite rifles are AR-10's and a few people get their panties in a bunch if you make that mistake). Anyway, to answer...

    Lower reciever parts kit

Re: Lower reciever parts kit No they are not the same. The DPMS 308 lowers use a specific bolt catch, bolt catch screw (rather than pin), different set of pivot/take down pins. Here's a link to a 308 parts kit on MidwayUSA or if you prefer Rainier Arms, LLC

Armalite, Rock River or DPMS help me choose?

Re: Armalite, Rock River or DPMS help me choose? Build your own, it will be what you want and you can stretch the price out over a longer period of time so its not as painful. Going the custom route allows you to spend exactly what you want to spend and you end up with what you wanted rather...

Re: JP LRP 07 Although these are questions you should have asked before you bought amswers can be provided, its just a little more scary to ask them First off, they are amazing rifles. I've shot one and know of one other owner of one and both are very happy with their rifles. I think the...

Tactical Weapons Solutions AR 10 ?

Re: Tactical Weapons Solutions AR 10 ? The TM lowers are great but like mentioned before these are DPMS patterned (radius rear receiver). The upper appears to be the lower height seeing as you can tell the rail on the Troy doesn't line up properly (look at the fourth picture) If you add up...

    DPMS A3 new hight

Re: DPMS A3 new hight Well actually the DPMS receiver set is by far the cheapest set out there. If you get a DPMS upper and lower they can be had for $415. If you were to get a Tactical Machining lower with a DPMS lower you looking at $365-$385 depending on sales. The Ma-Ten had an...
