Magpul ASAP on a DPMS LR-308?

Re: Magpul ASAP on a DPMS LR-308? I will take a look at those. Does the buffer tube type (milspec/commercial) make a difference when choosing one a sling mount?

Does anyone know if the Magpul ASAP will fit on a DPMS LR-308?

    DMPS AR-10

Re: DMPS AR-10 Providing a link because I'm not quite sure how to post a picture. Here's an image at MidwayUSA of the extractor. Check for the small rim on the inside that grabs the case rim. In this picture it is on the right hand bottom edge...

Troubleshooting Failure to Feed on a DPMS LR-308

Re: Troubleshooting Failure to Feed on a DPMS LR-308B All of the things Rancid said and you may want to check the gas block to see that it is properly aligned. Mine worked loose one time and it wasn't getting enough gas to properly cycle.

    DMPS AR-10

Re: DMPS AR-10 One other thing to check is your extractor. I had one where the lip/rim on the inside of the extractor sheered off and would no longer grasp the rim of the cartridge case. It wasn't evident until I took a close look at it.

    geissele or?

Re: geissele or? I just installed an SSA-E last night and it feels great. I also have a JP and enjoy it as well. The lock time on the SSA-E seems much faster given it uses a full power hammer spring. I don't have any range time yet with the SSA-E but I think I may end up preferring it over...

    DPMS SASS Gas Block

Re: DPMS SASS Gas Block The factory DPMS SASS barrel has a tall shoulder on it behind the gas block and as a result it requires a gas block with a higher tube hole in it than most gas blocks offer. Just be sure to consider that when switching it out.

    Rifle Scopes Nightforce vs Vortex????

Re: Nightforce vs Vortex???? I've enjoyed my Razor. I don't own a Nightforce but a buddy does and it's a fine scope as well. I went with the Razor for the FFP and I like the EBR-2B reticle.

Rifle Scopes New Bushnell Elite Tactical 1-6.5x24

Re: New Bushnell Elite Tactical 1-6.5x24 Just based on the info on SWFA's descriptions, it looks like there will be both FFP and SFP versions.

Rifle Scopes New Bushnell Elite Tactical 1-6.5x24

Re: New Bushnell Elite Tactical 1-6.5x24 I'm not sure but possibly. The reticle designs would leave to to think they might be though I don't know. SWFA has some images up but no specs that I saw when I looked.

Looks like there are a variety of reticle options and both 1st and 2nd focal plane models. Has anyone seen one of these or know when they are coming out?

    Less velocity with more powder?

Re: Less velocity with more powder? The Chrony is a Shooting Chrony Beta. On the velocity, you are probably right that I am about where I should be. It's a Remy 700 varmint with a 26" barrel. I thought to have such a long barrel the velocity seemed a little low.

    Less velocity with more powder?

Re: Less velocity with more powder? I did use a RCBS Chargemaster. Looks like there are lot's of variables.

    Less velocity with more powder?

Re: Less velocity with more powder? They were indoors, approximately 68 degrees and the outdoor temp was 54 degrees. I was at the range for just over an hour.

    Less velocity with more powder?

Re: Less velocity with more powder? Thank you for the help. I'm certain the cases were marked correctly as they were labeled and packed as completed. It must be the tighter packing of the powder in the cases that is the issue. Would switching to a magnum primer potentially help with the issue?
