I'm looking to replace the current gas block on my DPMS SASS. It seems to be a little over-gassed. With that being said, does anybody have any recommendations for an adjustable gas block? Something you've used and been very happy with? Thanks for any advise.

Re: DPMS SASS Gas Block

their both good, if you going with extended hand guard (i.e. putting a 13 inch hans guard in one that was a 7" go with the 2nd, if you using stock hand guard or using a non-floating hand-guard or cutout guard, use the 1st.

but the 2nd uses a set of set screws if u use it its a good idea to mark the place where the set screws hit and take a drill and make a little indention for them to set in to, when you get them real hot they can slip even with red locktite

Re: DPMS SASS Gas Block

The factory DPMS SASS barrel has a tall shoulder on it behind the gas block and as a result it requires a gas block with a higher tube hole in it than most gas blocks offer. Just be sure to consider that when switching it out.
