Re: New to the site here, 6.5 creedmore questions
I too had to make this decision a week ago on whether to shoot 243 or 6.5c for my next build. I choose 6.5c over 243 because of longer barrel life.
Re: Opinion Of Millet Scopes?
I love my Millett. I have a buck gold 4-16x56 that has taken me out to 800 yards a few times last december. It tracks well and every time I do a box test it always returns to the first point. Have never had to rezero.
Re: Calling Florida Shooters
Drive over to lakeland and shoot all day for $5 at tenoroc. The drive will be worth it! Lots of friendly staff and people at tenoroc.

Re: .308 or .338
My vote goes out to 308. Its not the best long range caliber, but it sure is a damn fine caliber for people who are just getting starter in lr shooting. No reason to start with a caliber thats overkill under 800 yards.
Re: Millet Optics?
I guess I got lucky. Ive put 140 rounds through my Buck Gold over the last week and it is still holding true. The quality so far seems to be on par with my $600 leupy.
Re: Just curious about your boresighting procedures?
I set up my rifle and scope on a table outside and get someone to go about 50 yards downrange and angle a mirror so the light shines perfectly through the barrel. Adjust scope and your on paper! It works amazingly good for how simple it...
Re: Remington 5r at 1000 yards
I regularly shoot my 5r out at 800 yards with 155 scenars and 175 smks. It does it no problem, though I wish I could shoot as good as my rifle. 1000 should be no problem, for the rifle that is.
Re: Remington 700 SPS Tactical
Its probably the most popular starter precision tactical rifle. A few dollars more and you can get the m700 5r milspec, what many consider the best out-of-box factory rifle.
Re: Millett BK810004
I have a Buck Gold 4-16x56 on a m700 5r. Its actually pretty damn good considering it was only $300.
As you can see, it is HUGE!!!!
