    When blasting an action and barrel with 120 grit aluminum oxide in preparation for cerkote do you blast the raceway area and inside the action? The action is coated with black oxide. And what about under the scope base...do you typically remove it and coat it or do you leave it in place?

    Re: To re-pillar or not Its not the pillars in the stock that I refer to as loosening. Its the inner screws with the shoulder that hold the action down. The bottom metal is secured by another set of screws that attach to the screws with the shoulder. Its not a big deal, just peace of mind.
