Sidearms & Scatterguns Any .50AE pistols besides the desert eagle?

Point 50, funny shit, I love that movie. Vinnie Jones is one bad mother, in real life too! I'm not much of a soccer fan, but would love to have seen him on the field. J

    550b or 650

Is this going to be for pistol or rifle rounds? I do all my rifle rounds on a single stage, and all my pistol ammo on a 650. I can do 700-750 rounds per hour by myself, feeding primers, and cases. When I have a buddy to help out, I can get up to 850 per hour for short bursts. J

Powder help with the big 50!

Guys, This winter I plan on loading some 50 BMG, and was wondering what powder you are using? I don't have the rifle yet, but plan on starting with military FMJ's first. I saw that WC872 was pretty economical. Anyone have some experience with it? Thanks, J

    Turret Presses

I run the T7 and I can't think of a better press for my needs. I have owned a Harrells single stage, and loved it, and many Redding single stage presses, and loved them too. I have the Lee 50 BMG kit, but have yet to break it out of the box. This winter will be 50 BMG brass prep. I think that...

Maggie’s How I almost died while out hiking and shooting today.

Bears have always ran away from me. I had a dream one night after I saw a black bear, that I only had my Cold Steel Boar Spear with me. The bear charged me, and I had to put the blunt end into the dirt, and let the bear impale himself with the sharp end! That would make for good story tellin'...

Bare Bones equipment needed to load for precision rifle.

Bare bones loading kit 1. A good set of SS calipers, Dillon has a nice pair for about 30.00 I think. I wouldn't buy anything for this hobby at Harbor Freight, just sayin' 2. Priming tool, Lee, RCBS or Sinclair. They all work, just depends on how much you want to spend. 3. Basic press, you can...

    Nickle plated vs regular brass

I have pistol brass that is nickel plated, and I have fired it so many time, and ran it through my tumbler so much, that it is actually almost gone. I bet some of that 45ACP brass has been fired, and loaded 25+ times! But, rifle brass that is nickel plated, no thanks, I'll pass. J

    Breaking decap pins on .223...?

I decap all my brass this way. Except pistol. I am THAT guy who doesn't like to get my press ram contaminated with spent primer residue. I want a lifetime of service from my T-7 press. J

Hunting & Fishing Clean slate elk rifle build

Any of the 7mm magnums, or a 300 WSM would be a fine choice. If there is a possibility of traveling to Alaska or ?, I'd put a little weight on ammo availability, for example 300 Win Mag. Also if you hunt with the same partner, what does he shoot. Ammo compatibility might be something to think...

Powder measures (rcbs competition powder measure VS redding match grade 3br powder measure

Measure accuracy has to do with the powder you use, and technique. I had a Harrells for years, and once I got the technique, I could throw short grain powders to the tenth. I have not used the RCBS, but with the powders I use, I'd think money is better spent on the Chargemaster, which I have now. J

An FYI on Bruno's Shooter Supply

I feel your pain. In these times, when you need powder or whatever, you need to get what you need, from whoever has it. I just remember who were the scabs and who was honest. Let's just hope that this situation will get back to normal sooner rather than later. J

Load 175 SMK from 2.800 to 2.820, dangerous?

I wouldn't load a huge lot of ammo, things might change and your left with pulling a lot of bullets. No fun! I'd say load 150-250 rounds at a time, and call it good. Just my .02, J

Which powder for both 9MM and 40S&W?

Years ago I bought a donkey load of VV 340, and have loaded 9mm, 40S&W, and 45ACP with good accuracy. I will be switching to Winchester 231 for my 45ACP duties in the near future. J

I'm making my own range, yesterday I made a nice (I think) raised 8x8 shooting platform.

My easy up is 10X10, but someone has to make an 8X8. Looks like a slice of long range heaven to me! J

    Single stage press?

I run a Redding turret press, no need to slip dies in and out, I just leave them in, and rotate to the one I need. Today, one has so many good choices, I don't think you could go wrong with any of the above. J
