Re: Puget Sound Area Shooter's Group 30-06 is more than capable in terms of ballistics and accuracy, provided you use appropriate bullets, etc. Do you have a DBM on your rifle though? Typically the pace of these matches requires magazines, otherwise you'll be fighting to reload on the clock.

Why 1:12 for USMC but 1:10 for Suppressor?

Re: Why 1:12 for USMC but 1:10 for Suppressor? You can still shoot subsonic ammo, you just might have to find a lighter bullet to use. Hornady 150gr RN is an option if you can't stabilize the heavier stuff. BTW, RN bullets are easier to stabilize since they're shorter. And test everything...

Re: Puget Sound Area Shooter's Group Wasn't that thing running a little undergassed in Moses Lake? I can't remember the details, but either way it won't hurt anything in the short run. Worst case it would be so overgassed that is overruns the next round in the mag, but I doubt it will be that...

    Aikido is it real?

Re: Aikido is it real? That's not what I see, but that's why there are so many options. I don't see how a striker, or especially a grappler could deal with multiple attackers without some kind of strategy. Aikido looks at ways of stacking opponents, throwing them into each other, and other...

    Aikido is it real?

Re: Aikido is it real? It's hard to find a video that demonstrates it well, but here's a San Dan test of a guy that I used to train with. At this point, during testing the attacks are completely freestyle, and the testing student must respond to the attacks. <object width="425"...

    Aikido is it real?

Re: Aikido is it real? I also agree with the above statements, and I don't think that Aikido or any art is a single solution.I studied Isshin-Ryu Karate first, then Greco-Roman wrestling with some other stuff along the way. This started 20 years ago, before BJJ and Muay Thai were popular in...

Rifle Scopes Metric mil reticle subtension...coincidence?

Re: Metric mil reticle subtension...coincidence? Yep, that's what I was taught. But I was posting that as a prompt to what LL said about Army mil-dots being based off artillery mils. However, I just went back and read it again and he refers to 1982... the M24 wasn't adopted until 88. I'm...

Rifle Scopes Metric mil reticle subtension...coincidence?

Re: Metric mil reticle subtension...coincidence? I was taught that the difference between Army and Marine mils was the dot size/shape in the different scopes. I'll see if I can find it. Edit: We used M3As, and were taught that the reticles were based off real mils. (Army Sniper School) This...
